A Love Catastrophe by Helena Hunting

This enemies to friendship to love story originates out of the care and feeding of one Prince Francis.  Prince Francis is a naughty, high-maintenance, Sphynx cat.  His human is currently in the hospital with the beginning stages of dementia, so Prince Francis needs a temporary caretaker.

Kitty Hart is a professional “kitty-whisperer” with a solid social media following. Miles Thorn is a hockey statistician looking for a kitty-sitter to take on his mother’s crazy cat -- AKA Prince Francis.   After a few awkward misunderstandings and a near death incident, Kitty and Miles work together to train Prince Francis into not destroying his mom’s house.  After a couple of fun “innocent” sleepovers to get the cat in line, they eventually get to the romantic “sexy” sleepovers.

Both Kitty and Miles have mommy “issues” to work out.  Mile’s mother needs to move into an assisted living home and Kitty just needs to stop being so dependent on her mom.  There are some traumatic familial past events that they empathize with each other, which in turn brings them closer.  Our couple gets hit up with a viral social post that goes badly for Kitty and her business.  That is the dramatic third act that usually stirs up a breakup – but this is the best part – no breakup!  Just mistaken social drama as Kitty and Miles eventually make it to their HEA.

Helena Hunting is a rom-com writing Goddess!  I always enjoy a great laugh along with some sexy shenanigans while reading her stories.  A Love Catastrophe is what I would call a cozy read – perfect for sitting by the pool this summer and puzzling out all the cat-puns in the captions.

I was given this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
